Philosophy

“Architecture is a thin line between art and technology. A little too much on the side of art makes a sculpture and to the other side makes a machine.”

My experience at architecture school and beyond is a reflection of my in-depth investigation of the ways in which art and technology converge in the architectural domain. My early fascination with technological developments and sculpture forms inspired me to create works that drew inspiration from these two extremes.

As I developed academically and started working on real projects after graduating, I realized how important it was to strike a balance between these two influences. I saw how a site’s environment and surroundings may influence and change my design approach, leading me to look for a peaceful way to combine technology and artistic expression.

I understand that going too far in either direction runs the risk of losing sight of what makes architecture so essential: striking a careful balance between artistic expression and useful functioning.

This knowledge has been the motivation behind my pursuit of architecture, influencing my method of design and directing my career as an architect. I understand that this is a continuous journey that is evolving with continual growth, exploration, and adaptation to the always shifting socio-technological landscape.

My pursuit of this equilibrium acts as a compass, encouraging innovation and originality in my work and advancing the architectural profession.
